For the last 4 years, CLC has used Rake a Difference to serve our neighbors by raking leaves for families throughout our community. This year, we will begin doing things a little bit differently with our new initiative called “Be a Neighbor.” We are committed to loving our neighbors every day, but this event will help us to focus as a church body on intentionally reaching out to show the love of Jesus to our community through acts of friendship and service in our neighborhoods and workplaces. There are many ways you can “Be a Neighbor,” including offering to rake leaves or other household projects, inviting neighbors over for s’mores, helping to decorate the neighborhood, or whatever you can imagine! The point is for us to be the kind of neighbor that loves the people around us as Jesus calls us to do.
