Day To Shine is a ministry of of Covenant Life Church.  We will be meeting needs in our community in a variety of ways.  Below you will see the many areas that need volunteers.  Please take a moment to consider how you might...rise and shine for Christ.

Bernice's House

Paint the outside of Bernice’s House. Additional assistance is needed two days prior as we prepare the house for painting. (Scraping, taping, etc.) *Early Start

  Cards 4 Soldiers Prepare cards at Covenant Life for our soldiers in Iraq to give them some  encouragement as they are serving.
  Christian Haven Participate in a hymn sing and visit with the residents.
Childcare at CLC Volunteer to care for infants-2 year olds so their parents can go serve elsewhere. *Please sign up for childcare on a separate sheet if you will need this service.
City Railroad Tracks We will be picking up litter along the railroad tracks in Grand Haven.
Grand Haven Christian School Various outdoor and playground projects are planned.
Hygiene Kits for Honduras THE HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY HAS ADOPTED THIS PROJECT. IF YOU ARE PART OF THE WALK FEEL FREE TO SIGN UP. Hygiene kits will be assembled into bags for the orphans in Honduras.
Junk Toss for Disabled Help a single woman with disabilities clean out her basement and tear out old carpeting.
Lakeshore Rescue Thrift Store Sort clothes, tag items, and help with other tasks at theThrift Store.
Mary A White Elementary

 THIS PROJECT IS FULL AND HAS BEEN CLOSED. PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER PROJECT. We will be helping the school to put in an interactive learnging garden.   *Early start

Muskegon Rescue Mission We will move and repair Noah’s Ark, repair and paint a play structure, and provide some seeding and landscaping assistance.
Muskegon Rescue Mission Windows need cleaning and rooms need painting at the Women and Children’s center.
City of Ferrysburg Pick up litter and put mulch down along the bike path in Ferrysburg. Other street cleanup may also take place throughout Ferrysburg.
Oil Changes at Bekins Auto OIL CHANGES IS FULL. PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER PROJECT. IF YOU'D LIKE TO DO CAR WASHES, INDICATE SO NEXT TO YOUR LAST NAME ABOVE. We’ll be offering car washes also (weather permitting)
The People Center Orgainze the food pantry and help with various projects at this location.
Riverside Nursing & Rehab. Bring your family along to have a hymn sing with the elderly residents who live at Riverside.
Sawyer Family Homes Bring your family along to have a hymn sing with the elderly residents who live at the Sawyer Homes.
Spring Lake Village Mulch around flowers and trees, and pick up litter along the bike path in Spring Lake. Outdoor signs also need to be painted. (weather permitting)
Yard clean-up for the elderly THIS PROJECT IS FULL AND HAS BEEN CLOSED. PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER PROJECT. We will be helping to rake leaves, and pick up fallen branches.

Merge @ Muskegon Rescue Mission 
We will be doing a Merge performance for the women and children at the mission.
Ferry Elementary School Bring your work gloves!  We'll be pulling weeds and doing light landscaping.
