MERGE is an entertaining, interactive and teaching event designed to allow parents to put into practice the Hebrew method of teaching children virtues and strengthening their faith as found in Deuteronomy 6:7. Speaking about the virtues and faith stories that gave the Israelites their identity as children of God the writer of Deuteronomy says, “Impress them upon your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Each MERGE event will begin by sitting at our church home for dinner at 6 in the ministry center followed by our family production at 6:30 in the worship center. The family production will be a time of praise, drama, video, and fun where we will talk and walk, get down and get up, learning about our faith. The evening will conclude at 7:15. MERGE will creatively introduce the upcoming month’s virtue. It will enlighten all who attend how the virtue is a reflection of God’s character working in us to change the world around us.
