aMAZing Opportunites at CLC
Vision “We will create an integrated process that will enable a person to move from being a stranger to becoming “fully connected” at Covenant Life Church and to make those that are already “connected” glad they chose CLC as their place of worship”
Greeting/Ushering
Main door greeters - Responsible to greet everyone in a manner that reflects the love of Christ by extending a friendly greeting and offering helpful information when needed.
Roaming greeters (campus hosts) - Responsible to seek out visitors and non-members in a manner that reflects the love of Christ by extending a friendly introduction and offering helpful information when needed.
Ushers/Worship door greeters - Check to be sure bulletins (and any additional handouts) are at each Worship Center entrance. Greet attendees and distribute bulletins as they enter the worship Center.
Guest services hosts - Responsible for restocking any missing brochures, staff the information center for guest information requests and to produce and distribute message CDS immediately after the first service.
Guest follow up callers - Responsible for collecting any visitor forms that are turned in at the information booth or in the offering bowl. Take these forms home with you from church and make follow-up contact within 3-4 days of service date.
Welcome Coffee - Responsible for overseeing, ordering, serving, and cleaning up for a welcome coffee 3 times yearly between Sunday services for our new members.
New Members Classes (3 sessions yearly) Teaching - Spiritual Gifts/Passions/Personal Style History and Vision of CLC Reformed Doctrine Responsible for communicating the above information as reformatted from the Network program to people interested in learning more about CLC, making these people feel welcome and open to asking questions. Coaching - Responsible for connecting people based on information gained from going through the New Members Classes with CLC ministries and small groups and following up to make sure it is a good fit. Small Group Leaders - Responsible for leading a small group of New Members in a 6 week setting. Ministry Fair / Picnic -- Held each year the first Sunday after Labor Day Ministry Booth/Coordinator - Responsible for communicating with Ministries and their need for a booth to showcase such Ministry. Set Up Crew - Responsible for setting up booths for showcasing Ministries and table area for picnic Decorations Committee - Responsible for presenting booth/picnic area in an eye appealing way Food Coordinator - Responsible for ordering and organizing set up and serving of food and beverages for the picnic portion Children’s Fun Activity Area - Responsible for coordinating an area for our children ages 4-11 that will include fun things to do and people to oversee those areas while the Expo/Picnic is taking place. Tear Down Crew - Responsible for tear down and putting away the booths and related items for reuse the next year Clean Up Committee - Responsible for putting away tables and chairs and general clean up of areas
Name Tag Sunday Responsible for serving at a table to greet worshippers with a smile and help make sure everyone has a name tag on to help people to get to know one another.
Adult Social Events Decorations - Responsible for helping choose a theme for the evening and then coordinating an overall pleasing look to compliment the theme and executing that look. Committee of 6 Program/Entertainment - Responsible for helping choose a theme for the evening and then securing the people who can carry out that theme in an entertaining way. Committee of 6 Food Purchase and Preparation - Responsible for coordinating the food and beverage with the evening’s theme and purchasing or preparing such food to the point of serving. Committee of 6 Food Service - Responsible for serving prepared food and drink and making sure everything is replenished as needed. Committee of 6 Kitchen Clean Up - Responsible for washing and putting away of all kitchen items and leaving kitchen in clean condition. Committee of 6 General Clean-up - Responsible for bringing items to kitchen to be washed, taking down tables and chairs, emptying trash, general clean up of area. Committee of 6.
CLC Connections Publication (2-3 times yearly) Co-coordinator - Responsible to keep contact with Ministries so they update their position needs and then relay that need t0 the writer, check on pricing for printing, ordering materials and keeping communications open between all involved Writer - Responsible for writing ads in an entertaining way to communicated CLC Ministry needs and getting those ads to the person doing the formatting Formatting - Responsible for the formatting of the above ads in an attractive way and getting the layout to the printer.
