Do we need to renovate now?
Covenant Life has grown dramatically during the past two years. We have reached capacity in our classrooms and nursery facilities and worship center. Completion of the second and third floor will allow for continued growth of our Upstreet and Youth Programs.
Where is our focus?
"Listening to and doing God's will." Our facility is merely a tool
to accomplish Kingdom goals and is not intended as a showplace. We simply need functional and flexible space to show God's love and care for His people.
The 'Friday Guys' have a fabulous ministry. Will they continue to have
space available?
Absolutely!
Will this renovation solve our needs for future ministry?
Phase 1 and 2 will provide relief for our needs in Upstreet and
Youth Programs for the immediate time. Phase 3 is intended to meet our needs for all programs in the future.
What is the schedule for this project?
It is hoped that we will begin the project in the fourth quarter of
2008 and be substantially complete for the 2009 Ministry Year. Interim renovations on the first floor will allow for Upstreet Ministries during the 2008 Ministry Year.
What is the project budget?
The preliminary estimate for Phase I and II is approximately $2 Million plus any financing charges - if needed. Final costs will be firmed up after the construction drawings are complete. Construction will not begin until cash, pledges and financing are secured.
These are difficult economic times. How will we be able to afford an expansion project?
When it comes to God's plans, we don't always see the obvious answer. Think about this. Our growth is beyond expectations. Construction costs are at a low. We have multiple options (phases) to pick from - each of which would allow for ministries to flourish.
